 David,

Your problem is under the dash, like you suspect. You need to take the pin out of the clevis, and adjust the clevis in(towards the firewall) about a 1/8th inch. You need to have a little bit of play right there, otherwise it will lock up just like you described. It's a pretty common problem people have when upgrading their master cylinder/boosters. You should have plenty of space under the dash. I adjusted it under the dash on my 66. Good luck-

I had a Willwood master cylinder installed on my 66 chevelle w/non power 
front disc/rear drum. The brakes lock up after about a mile of driving. I 
checked the brake pedal rod and it has been adjusted all the way out which I'm 
pretty sure is what is causing my problem. I tried to adjust the rod under the 
dash but I can't get to it. Can I take the master cylinder loose and adjust it 
from under the hood?
