I'm sure that with steel salvage prices of over $300 a ton a recycler would be glad to pick them up.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Off Topic - Disposing of Wheels

  Hi Guys,
A new set of used aluminum wheels were purchased for my Toyota Avalon this weekend. I need to dispose of four excellent 15" steel wheels with plastic wheel covers. The tires are 205/65-R15, two are used and two are very worn due to an alignment problem which wore the inner edge. The covers are in pretty good shape with only small rash areas.
The question is how to dispose of them. At most they might be worth $50. I prefer not to mess with trying to sell them but hate to put them in a landfill if someone can use them. I would happily give them to anyone who would pick them up in OC. Do you have any ideas?
       Thanks,
  Dennis McGillis
