[Chevelle-list] alt light 71 elky

1.       Could be a loose belt. Time to do a simple check up. 

2.       Battery fluid level

3.       Cables clean and tight both ends

4.       Make sure dash is grounded

on my 71 elky the gen light glows when i first start it. as soon as i get on
the road it goes out and does not come back on even at stops or with the
lights on, what might be my problem?

it still has the external regulator.
