[Chevelle-list] Rim verification

At least early Baltimore (October/November), early Kansas City (October),
and early Van Nuys (September) build sheets I have code the SS wheels as YA;
all later SS cars show AO. I have no data that early for Arlington or Flint
so I can't say.

Calvin's lists an AM code for 70/71 Camaro except SS Z28. A little
difference in offset is listed, .50 for the AM and .34 for the AO & YA.

Chuck,

The correct code for 70 SS Chevelle rims is AO.

Hi Trooper,

I have a set of 14" Chevy S/S rims with tires, B rings, and S/S center caps
I want to sell, but I do want to make sure they are the correct year. I
took them off of my 70 Malibu, would you know what the correct coding should
be for 70?

Thank you,

I'm at work so can't tell you off the top of my head. I can tell you it's
not a 69 SS Chevelle rim. The 69 SS would have a YA code.

I am looking to see if the trunk rim I have is the correct rim.
I have a 69 SS Chevelle, which I have been working on for 4 years, yes I
know I am slow, but frame off cars take time. The numbers on the rim are k19
5 29 YW then in the center it says K9 then GM C. Hope someone can help
decifer..
Thanks again
Joe
