[Chevelle-list] V.I.N Plate Decodes

Folks: Thanks to all of you who responded to my question about the interpretation of the VIN # for a 1969 Chevelle.  The way it has been explained to me goes as follows: the MAKE is a Chevrolet; the LINE is a Chevelle and the MODEL is a Malibu.  This seems to have satisfied the Maine DMV (my insurance car now says 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu) so I will be able to register the Chevelle and also title it which is what I am ultimately after.  I have been following this list for about two years and have learned quite a bit from all of you.  Thanks again, Tim.
