[Chevelle-list] 1966 chevelle & a new posy rea rend...

Ok I have a question concerning the rear-end I just had put in my 66 chevelle. If you remember I had wrote when I first joined the list that I had finally got my car back after it had been in the shop for almost 4 mo and that the guy didnt do half the work he was supposed to do and didnt order any of the items I gave him money to buy.... well I have a posey rear end in her now (first time having one) always had the standard factory type of rear end in her, and right after I bought the car in 1982 I had it replaced with the exact same kind. Couldnt tell any difference except the fact it did drive better, tighter without the "play" I guess youd say?.... Well this rear end I have  now is really FUNKY! ... When I try to go backwards she acts like she just dont want to go, barely even goes and the tires fight to turn and I have to push realy hard on the gas, the tires wanna bounce. Any type of corner or any turn I make even as simple as turning into my
 driveway or making a right hand turn down another street the tires squell like Im doing a burn-out!! I can be going 5 - 10 - 15 miles an hour and it does that. The tires also wanna "bounce"I am not happy with it do not like it at all but dont know if this is what it is supposed to do or if this IDIOT did something WRONG with it.... Is that normal!?? will it ever STOP and GO AWAY!?? when I complained to him about it he tried to say that is normal for the type of rear end he put in, that its tight and new and needs to be worn in and loosen up........ok its been a MONTH and I drive my car every day and I see NO CHANGE!!?? please tell me it is normal and will go away!!!  I already am in process of taking this jerk to court because of tall the work he DIDNT do and the MONEY he kept for parts NOT ordered and put in my car!!

I have this 62 Cadillac that has A/C. I thought it might be neat if the A/C worked on it. I have to convert it over to 134A right? I'm assuming that there is zero refrigerant in the system right now. I've done a little research on it and it appears that besides vacuuming out any remaining R12, I need to change the compressor oil? The compressor spins freely, and smoothly. I have zero A/C experience. Do I need to change out anything else?

change out all the seals to R-134 seals, replace the drier (maybe Evaporator) and have the compressor vacuumed out and use R-134 oil back in the compressor.....

When I replace the drier and evaporator...does it have to be one specific to R134? Is there a difference?

I have had a couple of cars converted. Always done by my local Radiator Hospital. The easiest way I think. If you have the tools you can do it yourself. Check this site out.
