I used one recently to put my bigblock and trans in my camaro they are very safe, and yes i have an aluminum intake. good luck and be carefull always. Eddie Bumgarner 68 camaro

I know most people do but I use the bolts that bolt to the heads.
I would be leery about doing that on a vortex intake.
