You need the guide plates for that engine otherwise they won't stay where they are suppose to. They bolt in place under the rocker arm studs. I would call any local engine builder, they may have some lying around. Your pushrods should be 3/8 diameter.

Dan... there are no guides on that head? They go under the rocker
studs. Make sure to buy the right size and material for your pushrods.
