[Chevelle-list] 67 suspension woes

Tom,

If you're looking for an adjustable rear suspension, you might consider a
set of air bags from Air Ride Tech. You can get the install kit from Summit
or Jeg's for $399 and the inflation kit cost about $40 shipped from ART.
I'm in the process of doing this to my 66 El. My main reason is because I
want the rear to be adjustable for load without losing performance. I have
both bags in place and the air lines run and it seems to be just as stiff as
it was with the coil springs with the ability to adjust ride height. Once I
install the new gas tank I'll be able to test drive it.

All,

I just realized that I have not given any thought about what shock/spring
combination to use on my 67. I plan to upgrade the control arms before I
put the body back on the frame but upgrading the springs/shocks doesn't seem
to get a lot of attention. I'm using coil over conversion up front and
would like something equally adjustable in the rear. The car will primarily
be a driver but would like for the car to stay flat in the turns. Any
ideas! Thanks Tom
