[Chevelle-list] VIN numbers where are they?

I think the sequence number would tell me enough information to try and 
get a title or whatever for it. The Fisher Body plate on the firewall 
isn't there. Anyone ever try and do this? Where are the hidden CON VINs?
I would like to use this body if it comes up clear. Could I use the Body 
Plate from the original rusted body? Does the DMV help you out with a 
transfer?
