The idea behind the 4/7 swap is to eliminate the 5/7 firing sequence
which can lead to cross-firing and detonation between those 2
cylinders. It's a problem only on high-revving motors, but it
wouldn't hurt anything to have it on a street motor if you have $$$
to burn. BTW, it's an old idea, I've seen stuff from the late 1960's
that was written about it. Seems to me that you're just swapping the
problem from the 5/7 sequence to a 4/2 sequence, but I ain't an
engineer or high $$ race engine builder.
