[Chevelle-list] Carb. troubles

john firs look in the carb were the butterfly's are. r there any small holes 
drilled in them (one per side) if so this may be were the problem is sometimes 
someone will drill holes there to make the car idle higher when there r some 
hotrod parts involved. if not look on the pass side were the throttle shaft is 
some carbs have an adjuster there to crack the butterflies open a little (it 
will be in the form of a screw) may be adjusted from the under side of the 
carb. this is just a few little things to look for the carb could also have bad 
air screws installed. most holleys dont need much to make them work. Perry   </HTML>
