[Chevelle-list] fender question

I don't understand the point. A T700-R4 with a lock up converter. Put it togather with any carburated small block and fairly tall gears and it's a sweet combination. I used BowTie Overdrives TV cable assembly that properly indexes the throttle position on a carb to the transmission's pressure valve and it should be "spot on".

In other words, the transmission used to shift early. Not now. It has a lockup converter that there are many kits to tie it to vacuum or speedometer cable. With a 3.06:1 low gear it's so great out of the hole. Please understand I chose 373:1 rear gear ratio and a 383 motor but a 350 would be fine too. Smokin combination!

Please advise what you mean on the 200-R4. Electronic or cable?

mike

IMO there's not much point in putting a 700R4 behind a crate 350. If
you want overdrive, you'd be fine w/ a 200-4R. I'm building a '70 w/ a
350/TH350 combo right now. I have a 1958 283 w/ a TH350 in my '69 El
Camino and it pulls the car fine although I'm certainly not racing
anybody.
