[Chevelle-list] Inner Fenders

I replaced my inner fenders this spring, they looked great and seemed to
match up perfectly with the originals; however looks were deceiving.
Passenger side installed with only two bolt hole modifications. Install
time was about two hours after lining up, bolting, loosening, and
reinstalling about 4 times. Driver's side was a horror! It took over 4
hours and in the end I could not get three bolts to line up properly. This
was using new steel replacement inner fenders from The Parts Place in
Elburn, IL. I also used new front end bolt kit from Danchuk. I choose not
to drill new holes as the ones that didn't line up were well hidden inside
the fender and only noticeable with the tire off.

Also the new after market battery tray (also Danchuk) was a bit challenging
to get to line up 100%.

It has been known for a long time that the repro ones don't fit right.
Namely the bolt holes don't line up. I've always heard that you have
to make your own holes in the inner fender. I'll be experiencing this
first-hand very soon.
