I don't have specifics but I run Moser axles in my car and hope to help. It's been 12-15yrs so things are fuzzy.
1. I don't remember thread locker but would use high heat/high strength. I heated my retainer rings with a torch and dropped them down the shaft and into place.
2. I used the axle shaft bolt holes for the backing plate. Did you cut the axle housing off and remove the 4 bolt holes? If you didn't the holes /bearing retainer will line up and work.

Any help with Moser C-Clip Eliminators?
I have sent two messages to Moser Engineering about this and haven't heard back yet - I'm pressed for time with this customer... Here is a copy of my message to Moser - has anyone here solved the same issue?
I have two issues with the installation of C-Clip Eliminator kit 9200 on a GM 12-bolt 8.875 axle that need to be resolved before I can continue.
1.) The instruction sheet mentioned adding threadlocker to the axle shaft where it will be pressed to the bearing. What threadlocker do you recommend? A Loctite 200 series threadlocker or 600 series for shaft bonding?
2.) The axle has no backing plates, there is a rear disc brake conversion that bolts to the opposite side of the housing flange. I was hoping you have come across this before and had spacers on hand. I included a drawing of what I sent to our fabricator - I hope my measurements are close. Can you either verify if my hole dimensions are correct or forward me a detailed machining drawing of the housing end?
Thank you for your help,
:D
