[Chevelle-list] suffix code ?

I'm  thinking  of tearing into a small block that I have and am trying to figure out CID / HP. if I got the casting #3970010 and date code right H 18 7 = August,18,1977 according to MSA-1 hand book its a 1969 to 1979 350ci. with horsepower ratings from 145 hp to 370 hp with a 2 or 4 bolt main. The suffix #stamped on front passenger side ledge reads VO827CHF with 28N119309 directly below it. I don't think its an origonal chevelle motor because I cant find a CHF suffix code in any of the chevelle literature I have, eventhough thats what it came out of. sorry for being long winded and thanks for any help, Jimmy C.
