Howard,
  Actually this has been discussed several times on Team Chevelle and a 
number of Chevelles had filler instead of lead.
  Boy that story about your grandmother lends a whole new meaning to the 
word lemon. What a mess. They must have been at the end of the run and 
checked the corners for rejected parts to piece one more car together.
