I had just the driver skin put on my '66 at Maaco
about 5 years ago, and it ran over $500- and that was
just for them to tack it in place.  The only reason I
had them do it is b/c that side of the car had been
hit in the past, and I'd never done a skin prior to
that one.  So I let them tack in in place and I closed
up the welds the rest of the way around.
