Hello John,

I've had the same problem with the same leak and I still have the same leak
which i hope will be corrected to NO LEAK with the installation of a NEW OEM
Timing Cover and Gasket as well as the Pan Gaskets.
I WAS running a Synthetic Blend "oil" and it will of course being like
water, find the easiest route OUT. I'm back to 10W-30 Pennzoil as this is
what the rebuilders installed.
I also have the lovely Rear Main Seal allowing some fluid past and I've the
new OEM seal to install, just that I haven't located a properly equipped
shop or person to facilitate said repair.

The last shop that Elky was in, the folk stated "they didn't see a leak from
anywhere, so they didn't see the need for New Gaskets", which tells me that
maybe they would've been more effective at CREATING LEAKS than removing
them.

On our Elky, the Pan Gaskets are helped by an adequate supply of Silly-con
which HAS sealed most of the Pan just not the lower Timing Cover and front
of Pan.
Silly-con doesn't do anything for the Rear Main Seal.

You WILL effect correct repair to yer vehicle so rest assured in this.
As with everything else in Life, things just take the time they require in
order to accomplish.

BEst of WELLness 2-u-n-urs-n ALL (ad)ventures!! .)
