I'm replacing the grille on my '71 Malibu. I have a replacement from
Year One which is a gray plastic, but I would like to paint it the
original silver color. I have the original grille to try and match the
paint , but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the correct
paint? It also has some areas blacked out, where the screw mounting
holes are.
Also, how should the grille surface be prepared for painting? Should it
be sanded with a fine sandpaper to scuff up the surface? Is there a
primer that should be used?
Thanks for you help.
