Use blue lock tight. Buy flex plate and ARP bolt kit from Summit Racing.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] 1970 torque converter & flexplate bolts
Hi guys,
What kind of goop is everybody putting on the bolts that hold the
flexplate
to the crank these days?
Also, what kind of nut/bolt combination is used to attach the flexplate
to
the torque converter? I want to replace mine but it seems like the part
stores don't have a specific nut/bolt combo listed for that application.
Finally, does anyone know a part number for the correct flexplate? I
bought
one but it is too small and the hole in the center is also too small, so
I'm
going to have to return it and get another one. Hoping to get the right
one
this time.
Thanks,
John Nasta
