[Chevelle-list] Clutch Rod Alignment

Just finishing the conversion from auto to 4 speed. This is a 72 chevelle,
small block with headers. Headers areHooker comps. It appears that there is
an alignment issuse. The adjsutment rodfrom teh z-bar to the fork does not
line up. The angle is all wrong. I have not instructions with the headers to
see what might be moded or parts swapped. Bending the arm on the z-bar seems
a little extreme.

If i put the rod on it hits the hearder slightly. (Had to raise the engine
to get the header in). Putting the rod on the other side of the zbar, it
points too far towards the bellhousing to align in the cup on the fork. The
zbar is correct (aftermarket repo), is straight but is a little high on the
engine side, not sure what the cause of that is, unless the trans is a
little high.

Thanks,

Jim
