[Chevelle-list] Valance panel

It looked like the piece of sheet metal under the bumper on a “mustang” to
which

the SS tripes continued.

 

For a while I thought that the holes at the bottom of the bumper & at the
bottom front of

The fenders where for a piece like this

I’m thinking of maybe customize my Chevelle like the above example

so that the front levels with the rocker panels?

 

We’ll see!?

Not familiar with 71 bumpers, but I know by 67 has two holes in the bottom
of the bumper to mount the optional bumper guards.  Could be that’s what
they are.

What are the holes under the bumper & under the front end of the fenders
then for?

I thought, maybe this is the bolt holes for this “spoiler”!?

Kind of like a front spoiler or air dam?  Definitely custom

Hi!

 

A few days ago I saw a Chevelle -71 with what I would describe,
as a lower valance panel below the front bumper
to which the SS tripes where extended to/continued on.

Where any of the Chevelles delivered like that or is it a aftermarket/custom
mod?

Made the front look much more brutal :-)
