[Chevelle-list] SBC flexplate

SBC engines have the same flange bolt pattern. The difference will be in
transmission used and whether the crank is internal or external balanced.

With the exception of the SBC 400 engine all are internally balanced that
have the two piece seal.

Some replacement GM flex plates will have a dual converter bolt pattern for
the TH 350 & 400 transmissions. Original, for the factory, will be
dedicated to a converter & transmission.

Aftermarket venders will supply flexplates with all four converter bolt
patterns, Powerglide, TH 350, TH 400 & TH 700R4. Also supplied is a balance
plate to add for a crank that is externally balanced.

The other difference will be whether the flexplate has 153 or 168 teeth.
Starter noise will need to match the flexplate.

I don't remember what the diameters of the two flexplates, just the number
of teeth.
