If it's not an exhaust leak and you can't adjust the noise out of the rocker
arm, could be a flat lobe on the camshaft, had it happen to me. Lifter would
never adjust and turned out to be a flat lobe.

Usually a sound like that is an exhaust leak from the header, a lifter not
pumping up or a rocker arm that needs adjustment.
