I found flywheel to crankshaft specs in my Chiltons and they're 55-65 for
283-396 (64-71) and 85-95 for 402-454 (70-71). Hays instruction sheet
(http://go.mrgasket.com/pdf/Clutch_Flywheel.pdf) says:
Flywheel:
7/16-20x1" ~ 70-80 ft. lbs
1/2-20x1" ~ 100-110 ft. lbs.
1/2-20x3/4" ~ 100-110 ft. lbs
Pressure Plate:
5/16" ~ 25-30 ft. lbs.
3/8" ~ 30-40 ft. lbs.
Other good information such as adjustment info on that two-page flier,
suggest you download/print it.

Subject: Torque
I am in the process of replacing my stock clutch with a Centerforce Dual
friction and would like to know what the torque should be for the pressure
plate to flywheel, bellhousing to motor and tranmisssion to bell housing. I
looked in the Hayes and both Chilton/ Chiltons professional editions and
could not find the above torque values am I missing somthing ? Thanks for
any help or direction, Jimmy C. P.S Have a Happy and safe 4th of July !
