The only thing I would add is that if your gear choice is a 3.31 don't settle on a m21/m22 because the 2.20 first gear would be to high(like starting in 2nd). Search for a m20. My $.02

Ryan, Almost all non OD trannies have a 1:1 high
gear. Used Muncies are not hard to come by in my neck of the woods.
(NC) I'm guessing you will not have a problem locating
one.

Mike

The tires I am using are on 15" rims and are 25
3/4" diameter. Unfortunately, to get me back on the road for now I
am just going to plug the Saginaw 4 speed back into it then maybe later
(hopefully) stick a muncie in it. That is if I can get my hands on one
somewhere. I thought I read somewhere that the Muncie and Saginaw are
both a 1:1 final drive so hopefully what works good with the Saginaw for a
while will work just as good with the Muncie. I would like to be able to
run it down the interstate to work everyonce in a while but I also dont want a
pooch either. If I get the urge to smoke a tire or two I want to be able
to. Not that anybody here on the list knows what that is like!! I
was considering the ring and pinion install kit from Jegs with 3:31's. I
think that might get me about where I would like to be. Thanks EVERYBODY
for all the replies and opinions. This list has been a life saver.

  Thanks again

  Ryan
