[Chevelle-list] Need help with spring selection

David, Make sure you are not binding up at your control arm bushings. They are easy to over tighten. The bolts should be torqued at 45 to 50 Ft Lbs.. And hopefully you lubed the bushings before assy. When I built the front end on my 65 Elky it took months to fully settle. Part of the problem was the polygraphite bushings. They were very stiff. Driving it hard will speed up the process.
Hope this helps.

Ok the front tires are 215x55x16 and the rears are 235x55x16. They are roughly 26 in tall. The front wheelwell sits two inches above the tire and the rear wheelwell sits 3 inches lower than the top of the tire. How long does it normally take for springs to settle in?

  Thanks
  David
