[Chevelle-list] Brand new Goodmark '69 Chevelle door shell

Just and FYI regarding the new reproduction Goodmark doors, they aren't 
any better than any other repro part, maybe even worse.
The one I bought was 1/2" too short (top to bottom)!!   The body man had 
to add 1/2" to the bottom of the door!!  Arrg!
And, he had to shim it OUTWARD by nearly 1/3" to get it to be flush with 
the front fender.   And there was a couple of other little gotchas that 
he had to fix.
So far at least all the internals seem to fit in, and the glass fits.  I 
probably should've just replaced the outer skin.....

And the repo repair rocker panel (don't know manufacturer, but was from 
The Paddock) was way off also.  It was a full 1" too long length-wise, 
and too narrow across the top.  He had to add an angled horizontal piece 
the length of the rocker (less the 1") that started at about 1/2" down 
to 1/4".   Another customer has 2 of these for his car, and they have 
the exact same dimensions, thus the same problems!

How could they be so far off!    Arrrgghh!!!   Fortunately this guy is 
good enough to work around these problems.
