My friend, a collector of Studebakers, would argue that the conversion hurt the value of the El Camino. They just are not worth the big bucks. He has over 10 in his collection with a bunch of part cars and trucks.

I think it was originally an El-Camino that he used Studebaker
parts on to convert; at least that’s what it looked like to me, so he may not
have ever had a whole Studebaker.

Looks
like almost a good idea!!

My
first thought was why? The vehicle was worth so much more as an original
Studebaker; did he have serious rust issues that he couldn't resolve? Exhaust
looks like it's 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" with a 2 1/2" extension.
Also, no pictures, or mention, of the interior. Looks like only one
seat.

Wonder
what his reserve is.
