[Chevelle-list] Pre paint

Jim, There is a reason for products like Presol, Final wash, PPG 330 and Omni MX 190. I cannot give you a scientific explaination, but I believe it has to do with the ability to lift wax and grease from a surface without leaving behind a residue that may cause paint lifting or other defects. Think about all the effort it takes to get a car ready for painting. Do you really want to do it twice?
Mike

I guess I'll use lacquer thinner. I use it for most everything else anyway. Didn't know if PrepSol had something special in it that made it worth the extra bucks.

I sent something to Prepsol but never heard back from them.
  Thanks guys.

  Jim
