President Message
March 2008 from Ron Breitenstein
Last month in the president’s message, I eluded to the biggest problem in a club today is finding volunteers. Well my request for volunteers was answered by new members, and as an added bonus, our club meeting was a full house. Good to see Roy sporting a new haircut and of course still wearing his shorts; Garet early morning meetings aren’t that bad are they? Tim and Laurie, nice tan what happened to Dennis, no sun in Cuba? Steve still had his Arizona tan! The Z brothers – where’s your new El Camino? Some of the new members who attended were Debbie (Hugo had to work), Alex and Derek (thanks for bringing you’re car - it looks great), Brad - good meeting you, LeRoy and Riza - good to see you back from a very lengthy vacation, Mike our webmaster was there to talk about our newly updated website. There must have been a dog show in town as Danny and Lynda were not present. That’s just to mention a few who attended.
Just a note for those members who complain about driving in for these meetings - there are many of us who make this commitment once a month to attend. I was out of town on business and drove three hours to attend. I didn’t drive those three hours because I’m President, I drove those three hours because I believe in this club and want it to be successful. It can only be successful if it is supported by the full membership.
Thanks to everyone for attending. The next meeting is April 20th, 2008 so mark it on your calendar and come out and support your club.
